Sala Upload was founded 11 years ago with a clear idea: to be a reference space for live music in Barcelona, where different communities and subcultures outside the commercial circuits could find their home. A meeting point where sounds, scenes and movements that escape the traditional industry converge, creating a refuge for independent music culture.
From the new punk scene to the most avant-garde electronic music, including garage, cult rock, new currents of dance music and emerging scenes from different latitudes, Upload is a space where sonic diversity has its own voice.
Located in the heart of Poble Espanyol, we host more than 600 performances a year, establishing ourselves as an epicenter of live music in the city. More than a concert venue or a club, we feel like a community that lives music and dance with intensity.
We work with a co-production model together with independent promoters and programmers, generating an eclectic program where genres, styles and generations coexist. We are passionate about live music and take care of every detail so that it sounds as it should: we have a professional technical team and a Funktion-One sound system, ensuring the best sound experience for both audience and artists.
We strive to make Upload a safe, diverse space free from discrimination and harassment, where everyone can enjoy music with peace of mind and respect.
Eleven years after opening our doors, we continue with the same energy and determination: to be a meeting point for those who live music intensely and believe in its power to change everything.
